Full bodied Tempranillo with significant oak aging before release. Much of the fresh fruit flavours are supplanted with leather and spice and the wine has strong tannin.
Full bodied Tempranillo with dark berry fruit and strong tannins. Good acidity from a high vineyard elevation keeps this wine tasting fresh. The Red table wine to go with weeknight dinners.
Located in Terra Alta in the south of Catalonia, all Casa Mariol wines are organic and certified vegan, with plantings of both native spanish grapes and international varaties like Cabernet and Merlot. This Cab Sauv has aromas of blackberry, gooseberry, pepper and clove. Smoky notes with touches of dried fruit, vanilla and toffee. The tannins are soft and make it a good match for fattier foods but tamed enough to have on it's own.
A medium bodied Reserve Cabernet, that spends 36 months in cask. Ripe black fruit, roasted peppers, cinnamon, fig jam and notes of toasted coffee and cocoa. I dare you to drink it with a casserole.
Ripe chardonnay with a low temperature fermentation to lift aromas, and with some banana flavours. Much closer in style to California or Africa than to somewhere like Burgundy. Fairly nice if i do say so.
Low-temperature fermentation, with slight barrel ageing to enhance its aroma. Despite being a low acid grape, Casa Mariol does a good job at mainting freshness, which keeps the intense rasberry flavours tasting freshly picked. On the other hand, theres some dried fig, toffee and spice to colour the fruit with savoury qualities.
In the goldilocks zone, with medium freshness and ripeness, It's the perfect choice for someone who just wants something tasty. Rasberry, strawberry and millions of peaches, peaches for me.
Casa Mariols take on something more reminiscent of Catalunya, while Cariñena (Carignan) can be a hard grape to find sometimes, in Terra Alta it's something the locals drink everyday. The grape has a unique cured meat quality, which marries with tobacco leaf scents. With tart cranberry and rasberry fruit it's hard not to fall in love.
Banana and pineapple flavors with a creamy texture, which is almost an insane pina colada. Fermented at a low temperature (a strain dependent decision) to enrich the aromas. Get some guacamole and 'go bananas'.
Wowza! One of the best white vermouths in the entire milky way galaxy. Taste like cream soda and has fresh green herbs, bitter citrus with fennel and anise. Mix it with soda water and drink it from a bowl like a dog.
